Some landscapes don't need embellishment. Gembrook doesn't either.

Potter Sam Gordon built this collection from the outskirts of his off-grid life in Australia, where the land does most of the talking. Each piece begins as stoneware, deliberately left bare at the base and along the rim, marking the exact places a potter's hands would meet the clay mid-glaze. What's left behind: organic specks, drips, and lines, and - on select pieces - a single thumb indent, quietly signing the piece the way a hand would.

Gembrook comes in two stoneware colorways. White - creamy, soft-lit, letting the reactive glaze read almost translucent against the clay. Grey - deeper, more grounded, the glaze pooling into sharper contrast at every drip and edge. Both are finished with a sheer, hand-applied reactive glaze over a coupe-edge profile, its glossy sheen catching the light where the clay stays exposed beneath. No two pieces pool, drip, or catch the light the same way twice.

Each piece carries the exact marks a potter's hands would leave - unglazed grip points, uneven pooling, a stray thumb indent.
